Some mornings spiderwebs become fog collectors, heavy with pearls of mist.  Look into each orb and you will find cradled worlds inverted–reflecting all other orbs within. (It is like seeing how your retina perceives the image of the world, upside down, before the brain flips the image upright. ) The web is a dynamic species-habitat assemblage weaving body/ language, materials, surfaces, geologic forces, and time together. The web spiders leave behind are a material memory and diagram of the spider- mapping lines of thought.

Through language  we articulate and navigate our understanding of the world, revealing the intricate ways we communicate, determine what was known of the cosmos, and tell stories. Each ceramic tablet explores  a lineage of knowledge production, writing, and documentation in clay.

Different orb weaver webs were misted with iron oxide and captured on clay tablets. Droplets together,  articulate the shape of the web- a map, a spider thought.
